How to Write a Conclusion for a Persuasive Essay
When you are writing a persuasive essay you mostly intend to sway the loyalty of the readers and make them accept your point of view without presenting any statistics or facts and using just your personal voice. So you need to learn how to tap your voice to make everyone hear you. An art of persuasive writing also demands great communication skills. But basically you just need to know what you want to say and how to say it cogently. Persuasive essays have much in common with argumentative ones but only differ by their passionate/dispassionate temper. The important thing is to present your point properly appealing to readers’ emotions and personal interests or experience. But still, one of the keys to success is to structure your paper. Firstly you make the persuasive or argumentative essay outline then you put your thoughts inside it. So, if you already have the introduction word and a thesis statement it’s necessary to come to an end with an extensive closing sentence. Here we have some useful clues for you.
The conclusion sentence: the last but definitely not the least
Let’s get started with the most important thing: your conclusion paragraph ought to contain a short synopsis of statements which have been argued before and the presented evidence, but exclude using a big amount of specifics from the main paragraphs. Also you can use your introduction word as a reference point but remember that it shouldn’t be a copy-past. Just stick to the main accents you made at the beginning and be guided by them.
Do not write a whole-essay-sized concluding paragraph. It is the final word and it has to sum all the information that was written in the paper. You have already made your point, argued everything and sent the main message. All you need to do at this moment is to conclude. So be neat and concise — it may be only ten or twelve sentences, but needful ones.
An important thing to remember is that your conclusion shouldn’t open new topics and touch on any point that wasn’t talked about in the body of your paper. You must not confuse your recipients. Although, what you can and even should do is get your readers involved in the research of your paper’s field. You can ask some rhetorical or slightly provocative questions so that they want to go surf for the information on the topic, having finished reading your essay. Give them a challenge which will be useful for themselves.
Note, that in the persuasive essay the last sentences are the most important ones. So while working on the whole paper don’t forget to leave some fire for the effective closure. And if you’re not into it then just contact PapersMaster and trust us with your highest grade.
